Ted Raab,
Treasurer Ted was a controller with Sears, Roebuck and upon retirement became an officer in a multi-state insurance agency. Since the demanding schedule of an insurance representative possibly led to his heart attack, in 2000 he became a real estate appraiser. He is now fully retired, but for the last five years has been the Garner coordinator for the AARP Tax-Aide program, the largest FREE tax program in the country. Ted Raab was a heart attack victim in December 1998. When faced with a potential coronary artery bypass operation, he read “Bypassing Bypass” by Dr. Elmer Cranton, MD, and sought alternative relief. |
|
Having been an advocate of the use of nutritional supplements since the early 1970’s, Ted began working with Dr. John Pittman in Raleigh, NC in 2000, undergoing EDTA chelation therapy, the most widely used alternative treatment in the United States. He has had no further cardiac issues since then and has remained in excellent health. Ted's strong conviction about the rights of individuals to access nutritional and alternative medicine has motivated him to become a community organizer and activist. He is currently the Treasurer of Carolinians for Health Care Access. |
